So, Susie…Do you have a guide for this summer’s style trends?

Why yes I do! Here’s a fun and simple 2018 summer style guide for the styles you’ll want to watch.

The Most Important Piece

The summer dress. It’s the essential item to own, and there are loads of options: the strapless, the one-shoulder, and I especially love the button front styles in linen, as well as all white dresses. They’re perfect for replacing your LBD. Plus, there’s nothing better than slipping on a dress on a hot summer day. They make getting dressed easy — put on one item and ready to go.

The Style Set Favorite

The beach bag. It can be worn all summer long, and they take you well beyond the beach. The cutest bags come in circle shapes, bright colors and straw colored neutrals, often embellished with tassels or pom poms. They add an instant and breezy style to any outfit.

The Sandals to Own

Easy slides, inspired by the Hermès sandal that was all over Instagram last summer. Now there are many versions from all different brands and price points. I’ve been wearing these Sam Edelman’s daily with denim and my favorite dresses. I’m also loving these and these.

In My Shopping Cart

A new pair of sunnies. The retro look is very popular and Chloe has several in chic styles; I have my eye on these and these. I’m also loving clear, transparent styles such as these and these.

On My “New Trend to Try” List

A matching set. Think top with a matching skirt, like thisand this. Or, Frame has a striped linen blazer with a matching linen striped short– so cute! There are many combinations you can try and I’m pretty sure you’ll see this idea of matching items move into early fall.
