This is my own little trick for easy dressing — and it’s almost always guaranteed to produce a great result. When helping people in the dressing room, I always start by getting the jean or trouser that fits perfectly. Currently I’ve been choosing black to start with. Then I find a great layering piece, usually a blouse, also in black, which creates a solid foundation or “backdrop” for the other pieces.
Once this comes together, along with a shoe I love, we start trying on jackets, cardigans or the third pieces as we say. From there the final details are added and before you know it, your outfit is brilliant!
